About MMO
Learn More About Mesquite Mountain Outfitters
Mesquite Mountain Outfitters was established in 2017, but the journey of MMO started long ago. Coues Whitetail have been a passion for Dylan and Nick since they began hunting and harvested their first deer at the age of 10 years old. Once they hit 16 they began hunting almost exclusively together in pursuit of shooting a Coues with their bows. With hundreds of failed stalks and lots of close encounters those experiences are what sparked the desire to push each other towards success. Throughout the years this passion has grown significantly and with countless successful hunts under their belt it became apparent that we needed to pursue this as a business and help create these same memories for other people. Our guides have a combined 30+ years of experience hunting deer in Arizona!
At MMO we believe hunting is more than bringing home an animal. The highs and lows of hunting are both adequate pieces of what makes a great hunt. You will always have to deal with adversity when in the field, but overcoming these obstacles and who you overcome them with makes success that much better. Our goal is to give our clients a great experience along with a great trophy.
Meet Our Guides
Nick – Guide
Nick Morris was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona right in the heart of Coues country. He was brought into hunting at a young age and harvested his first Coues deer at age 11. Nick’s Father is an avid bow hunter, with numerous trophy big game animals under his belt including a desert big horn sheep that held the Pope & Young World Record for over 15 years.
That being said Nick is no stranger to taking the time and overlooking many animals in search of the most mature trophy that is suitable for each clients needs. He has been lucky enough to harvest many big game animals with his bow as well, including a Black Bear, Bison, and a Bow Hunting in Arizona biannual award winning Bull Elk. Along with his hunting skills Nick is also a very experienced cook and the meals provided on the hunt will be nothing short of amazing. There is no doubt that Nick brings a lot to the table for the Mesquite Mountain Outfitters clients. He will stop at nothing to provide clients a hunting memory that will last a lifetime.
Dylan – Guide
Dylan is a 4th generation Tucson native with every generation being considered as avid hunters. Being introduced into hunting at a very young age it quickly became his first love. His mentors expressed the importance of spending time behind the optics as you can cover much more ground with your eyes than your feet. That challenge of glassing became a passion at a young age when having felt the accomplishment of finding animals that aren’t easily seen.
That passion is something that is held strongly with him today as it is a key centerpiece to most of their success today. Much like anything else you will not become great at anything without adequate time putting in hard work. Nick and Dylan work year around studying these animals with hopes to become the best Coues hunters in the game.
Tate – Guide
Tate was born in a small town in Southeastern Arizona, where hunting is a way of life rather than something us city folks do in our free time. He’s one of the youngest guides on the team and has a lot to offer as Mesquite Mountain Outfitters has taken him under their belt to teach him every step necessary to being the best guide he can be. He’s already spent many years of chasing Coues in Southern Arizona and is not an amateur when it comes to field scoring these magnificent deer.
Tate is an archery champion sponsored by PSE in Tucson Arizona, so he can probably teach an archery hunter a few things about correct shooting form as well as overall knowledge of equipment. Being young has its advantages as his mind is very malleable making him a great asset and apprentice for Mesquite Mountain Outfitters.
